Do I need special paper or a special printer?
Do I need special paper or a special printer?
No. QMR works with standard A4 or letter-sized paper on any office printer. You do not need to order supplies from QMR or use any particular brand or weight of paper. Print the answer sheet template your teacher generates from the QMR dashboard and you are ready to go.
What happens if the QR code is damaged or partially covered?
What happens if the QR code is damaged or partially covered?
QMR’s AI attempts to recover partial QR codes caused by minor creases, shadows, or smudges. If the code is completely unreadable — torn off, heavily inked over, or folded so it cannot be seen — the sheet cannot be matched automatically. In that case you can manually assign the submission to the correct student from the scan management page in your teacher dashboard.
What image formats does QMR accept?
What image formats does QMR accept?
QMR accepts JPEG, PNG, and other common image formats, as well as PDF files for batch upload. Files that do not match an accepted format are rejected at upload time and an error message explains why. If you are uploading photos taken on an iPhone, note that HEIC files may need to be converted to JPEG first — see An image file was rejected at upload for details.
How accurate is QMR's recognition?
How accurate is QMR's recognition?
QMR achieves 99.9%+ recognition accuracy on real-world answer sheets. The AI automatically corrects for common problems including shadows, paper wrinkles, skew, and tilt. You do not need to re-scan or manually correct sheets that are slightly creased or photographed at an angle.

What is a 'round'?
What is a 'round'?
A round represents one class group or sitting of an exam. For example, if the same exam is taken by Class A and Class B at different times, you create two rounds — Round 1 for Class A and Round 2 for Class B. Students are enrolled in a specific round, and statistics can be filtered by round so you can compare class performance separately.
What happens when I reach my plan's scan limit?
What happens when I reach my plan's scan limit?
You will receive a notification when your monthly scan limit is reached. Once the limit is hit, you cannot submit new scan requests until your billing cycle resets or you upgrade to a higher plan. You can upgrade at any time from the pricing page in your account settings. The Standard, Major, and Master plans have progressively higher scan limits.
How do I export results to Excel?
How do I export results to Excel?
From the exam’s statistics or submissions view, look for the Export button. Excel export is available on the Standard plan and above. If you are on the Junior (free) plan and do not see the export option, upgrading your plan will unlock it.
Can students see their results?
Can students see their results?
Yes. Students access their scores through the QMR student portal using the account your organization has linked to their student record. After your scan job completes, students can immediately see their total score and a per-question breakdown — including the correct answer for each question they missed. Students cannot see other students’ results.
How do I delete an exam?
How do I delete an exam?
Open the exam in your teacher dashboard and use the delete option in the exam settings. Deleting an exam is permanent — all associated submissions, scan data, and student results for that exam are removed and cannot be recovered. Make sure you have exported any results you need before deleting.
