After students complete an exam, you upload the filled-in answer sheets to QMR. The platform reads the QR code printed on each sheet, identifies the exam and student, grades every answer against the stored answer key, and creates a submission record — all automatically. This page explains the three ways to upload sheets and how to monitor scan progress.
Only standard image files (JPEG, PNG, and other common formats) and PDF files are accepted. If you select a file that is not a recognized image type — for example, a document saved with a .jpg extension but containing non-image data — QMR rejects it immediately at upload time with an error. Re-scan or re-export the file in a supported format before retrying.

Uploading answer sheets

1

Go to the Scans page

In the teacher dashboard sidebar, click Scans (채점하기). You will see three upload options and a list of all past scan requests.
2

Option A: Capture with your smartphone camera

On a mobile device, the 카메라로 촬영 (Capture with Camera) button is visible. Tap it to open your device camera pointed at the answer sheet. QMR captures the image directly without needing a separate scanning app.Hold the sheet flat and ensure the entire page — especially the QR code in the corner — is in frame and well-lit before tapping the shutter.
The camera option is only shown on mobile devices. On desktop browsers it is not displayed because desktop webcams are not suitable for flat document capture.
3

Option B: Upload an image file

Click 이미지 선택 (Select Image) and choose a photo from your device. Supported formats include JPEG and PNG. This option works on both desktop and mobile and is useful when sheets have already been photographed with a separate camera app or transferred from another device. Each click of this button uploads one sheet and creates one scan request.
4

Option C: PDF batch upload

Click PDF 일괄 스캔 (PDF Batch Scan) and select a multi-page PDF. Each page in the PDF is treated as one answer sheet and processed as a separate scan job within a single batch.
PDF batch upload is the recommended method when grading 100 or more sheets at once. A typical batch of 100 sheets processes in under 3 minutes. Use your office scanner or multifunction printer to scan the entire stack into a single PDF, then upload once.
5

What happens after upload

Once a file is uploaded, QMR:
  1. Reads the QR code on the sheet to identify the exam and round.
  2. Locates the student’s marking areas defined by the paper template.
  3. Grades each marked answer against the stored answer key.
  4. Creates a submission record linked to the exam, round, and student.
Graded results appear immediately in the exam’s Submissions tab and are included in the Statistics dashboard. You do not need to take any further action.
6

Check scan status

The Scans page lists every scan request sent by your organization. Each entry shows its current status:
  • Pending — the request is queued and not yet picked up.
  • Processing — the sheet is actively being analyzed.
  • Completed — grading is finished and a submission record exists.
  • Failed — the scan could not be processed (see next step).
Refresh the page or wait a moment for status updates to appear.
7

Reprocess a failed scan

If a scan shows a failed status — for example because the QR code was obscured or the sheet was too dark — you can resubmit it for reprocessing. Re-photograph or re-scan the sheet to produce a cleaner image, then upload it again through the normal upload flow.
